    October 2011 Follow-Up Report

    The attached October 2011 Follow-Up Report describes the progress Taft College has made on program review and strategic planning since our October 2009 accreditation site visit. Bringing program review and strategic planning into compliance with the accreditation standards were the two primary recommendations made by the site visit team during that visit. The other three recommendations were in regards to Student Learning Outcomes, substantive change for distance learning, and ethics policies. This report was approved by our Board of Trustees at their monthly meeting yesterday and was sent to the Accrediting Commission today as required by the Commission (see the attached "Action Letter" for details). After reading and discussing this report, the Commission will send representatives to verify the content of the report. That visit, which should take place in October or November, will result in a report to the Commission in regards to our meeting the recommendations. The Commission will then meet in January to determine our accreditation status and we should hear from them by early February.
